The "Guadalupan Committee" is a Hispanic group of parishioners of St. Gertrude, who prepare and lead the organization of the Novena Guadalupana and the celebration of the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12. For 9 days preceding the  Solemnity, our parishioners are invited for evening prayers, sermons and "convivios".

Recently this committee began to lead also a rosary prayer to Our Lady  of Guadalupe every Friday at 6:00 pm in the new chapel in "Villa Allegre" (3037 Bright Street, Franklin Park)
